These techniques play a crucial role in clinical diagnostics, pharmaceutical analysis, biomedical research, food safety, and environmental monitoring. Over the years, immunoassays have evolved from classical radioimmunoassays to highly sensitive chemiluminescent, fluorescence-based, biosensor-coupled, and point-of-care systems.
